Asking for an update after Interview
I interviewed at a BB for final round. I was called by someone on the desk a dayater asking for my preferences in desk assignment, no offer yet... but was told I would hear back end of last week. But nada yet.
Should I reach out this week, and if to who? I think the Hr responsible for me is out for vacation because of the email sign he/she had... I just dont want to come across a bit too desperate... but also want to be done with recruitment.
I wouldn't reach out to the person who interviewed you directly. I would reach out to HR. I do it all the time. It's their job and it's completely fine.
The HR contact was out of town, but i found another contact as he was mentioned as the person to reach out to in the initial HR rep's absence.

Yeah usually they have a secondary contact on their out of office email.
