Currency Trading Positions BBs/Prop Firms

What are good places to look for a career in currency trading? I understand most BBs have prop trading divisions and do they focus on currencies? Would it be better to target smaller prop firms? Anyone with experience-I would appreciate any help.

Getting a prop position at a BB is incredibly difficult. That said, all major banks have sell-side FX trading desks (Spot, forwards, options, structured FX). Any reason you are overlooking that?

Revsly: How does one get a prop trading position at a BB? Generally, people are recruited for the S&T division and then either do sales or act as a traders' assistant. Does one become a prop trader and manage money just by proving one's worth and abilities as time goes by?
