I work on an equities desk and we're pretty dead, earnings is giving a boost, but otherwise pretty quiet. I'm pretty junior so it's hard to compare but I work with people who have seen their comp go -$200k or more YoY. I know this isn't shocking, but I'm curious to hear how things are at other places.
Also on equities, BB ER. I wouldn't consider myself very busy but I see my colleagues exaggerating their workload and not using their time productively (long lunches, taking dinner breaks off-desk, etc) and claims that they are struggling to get things done on time / leave the office earlier.
