How likely is it to get fired in S&T?
I recently got an SA S&T offer and strongly considering the career path. I was wondering how likely it is to get fired if I wanted to stay in this career at least 8+ years? I heard Ana->Asso is easy but going to VP and then to Director gets more and more unlikely. What do you need to do to get promoted continually?

IF you want to start a career in sales and trading and you are very good at what you do, you can always seemingly jump bank to bank in my opinion and have a job.
This might mean moving down a tier or something of that nature, but if you are young and scrappy there will always be a need for sales folks... until you arent young and scrappy any more. I was told this going into S&T and it is genuinley true, but what they do not tell you is that you will get priced out of the business. IF you are a vanilla equity sales person at say a BMO or a FX Sales person at say a US Bank you provide little to zero value add for the client besides how good your traders can make your prices. That is what scared me. A bridgewater PM does not care about your opinion on an equity that you are ramming down their throat. They have worldclass research teams, why would they trust you. I would be cautious about going into a carreer just based on how well you can have a beer with the custy when all they are hunting for is best price. Here is where you get priced out. Your bank will probably not fire you but will continue to pay you worse and worse until you keep moving down the line to worse banks. At that point your job becomes more fragile.
Then again, if you are selling exotic options for bespoke illiquid products where the corporate treasury team has little idea how to delta hedge and you can add insane markup to a 30 year option than you can literally generate 20+ mm PNL for a BB no problem and take home a fair amount of it. THAT ser is harder to do and what would make sales getting into.
