Internship in Consulting: Beneficial for a Future Career in Trading or Quantitative Roles?
Hello everyone,
I have been offered an internship opportunity in consulting at a well-known firm. However, the internship will be based in a developing country that is not a major financial center (such as UK, USA, etc.), and my ultimate goal is to pursue a career in trading or a more quantitative role in finance in London. I'm wondering if an internship in consulting in a different country will add value to my CV and help me achieve my career goals.
I would love to hear from people who have pursued a similar path or have any insights on the matter. Do you think an internship in consulting, even in a different country, is beneficial for a future career in trading or quantitative roles? What are the pros and cons of this career path? Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!
