Interview -- Am I dinged?

Am I dinged--Interview 2 comments

Hey guys,

So I am sophomore and had a first round interview the other day with a major (not GS/MS) BB within their Markets/S&T division for a summer analyst position. I was told that there would be no technicals, so I didn't really prepare (my fault, dumb mistake on my part) as well as I should have. I'm unsure if my interviewer disliked my "story," but he asked me a few very basic technicals like whats the dow at, SnP 500, euro worth in dollars, treasury yeild, value of gold, value of oil, and I got about half right and half wrong. This was right at the end (literally last minute of interview). Am I dinged? Was this a stress test? Or did my man really just not like me? I'm not too sure how to assess how I did (it's my first interview ever, I have a few others coming up though). Definitely learned from my mistakes (kind of happy I made them so I won't make them again) and definitely will do better next time, but I really like this bank and want to know if I should just forget about the internship..

If it helps: I'm at a target (think Brown/Georgetown/Non-Wharton Penn/NYU) with a very average GPA in a not-so-hard major.
