Moving from Risk at IDB to Risk at Exchange

Hi all,

I have recently accepted an offer to move from my role as a market risk analyst at a brokerage/clearing firm (dealing in commodity futures and options primarily but also equities, FX, CFDs and FI) to the risk desk of a commodities exchange. I am trying to understand how the roles will differ other than narrowing down the asset classes I'm expected to deal with. I am working my notice period so not expecting to start at the new place until February next year.

Side note: I am comfortable with SQL but my Python and VBA are a little bit rusty so any tutorials or useful links on these would be appreciated.

TIA,
