O&G Hedging Question
I read this story (http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/06/25/us-lng-japan-chubu-idUSKBN0F0…), about a japanese company buying natural gas fields as a natural hedge against LNG. I am confused as to how exactly buying nat gas would provide a natural hedge against LNG. Can someone please shed some light on this?
