Significant Risk Transfers & Asset-Backed Securities - which division of investment bank covers these? GCM, markets or something different?
I'm interested in the area of SRTs and ABS's but I'm not sure which part of the investment bank is responsible for these activities.
I know ABSs can be traded but in terms of structuring the SRT and ABS packages, is that done through the GCM desks? e.g. an SRT of a bank's balance sheet
Interested as I wish to apply to programmes for 2026 summer where I would have exposure to these activities.
