to put or not to put in resume
my roommate and i have been arguing over whether to include these 2 things in the resume for a trading position:
- performance of personal trading
- xxx college NL Texas Hold'em champion
what do you guys think?
i would say put in "other info" section. gives you something to talk about during interviews.
holdem champ, huh? we should play some time lol
provide good talking points and show you have a tolerance for risk taking
If you put on the poker stuff, be prepared for plenty of odds questions, like the number of outs you have in a given hand. If you are really good, it should display you've got good probability skills- a plus. If you can't show off your odds skills, then it's pretty useless to put on.
it's said that Stephen Cohen was a sick poker player during his Wharton days. I'm sure that counts for something.
