Trading in Power, Energy, Commodities, FTRs

I'm a FTR trader with ~5 yoe, TC ~2mm at a small shop. I'm thrilled with where I am, but I want to make sure I know what my options are from here. I figure that my best path forward is to stay and keep trading this product, but I was curious what I could do to advance my career. Trading FTRs is extremely niche, and I only have cursory knowledge of things not FTR related. Thus, despite my success in trading FTRs so far, I'm not sure how any of this success would translate into another market. The skills I've developed feel quite niche.

One possibility I had considered was to join a FTR desk at a commodities shop (Vitol? Trafigura?) and pivot into commodities somehow--but I have no idea what the expectation/upside there is. Given the success in my current role, I'm not sure which risks are worth taking.

Other options were to trade FTRs with my own money (with less support) or other opportunities within FTRs with higher comp.

Can somebody familiar with my situation (and especially if familiar with FTRs or people who have traded FTRs) evaluate what options I have available and what to expect from them? What skills are needed? I'm not sure how my current experience will help. In my mind it's unlikely there are much better options compared to my current seat, but perhaps I'm naive about the opportunities I can find elsewhere.
