I'm doing S&T Summer Analyst at Goldman in London. After the summer, I will be spending my final year of studies in NYC on J1 visa. Under the assumption I get a return offer, is there anything I can do to transfer that offer to NYC?

Idk what other person is talking about but you can't just transfer your offers to another location lol. Especially in S&T this gets complex as the internship selection process is normally very much "desk chooses you" rather than "division chooses you".
What you're describing is possible but have only seen it when the person is a US citizen. Exchange programs don't count here.
