Interested as well
I'm not aware of anything in particular, but there's a company called CWG (Storm Vista) that has a student/beginner/general interest level subscription that's pretty cheap ($15/month I think). I don't know what sort of tutorials they have with that, but it might not be a bad place to start to look at the models. Here are some of the other vendors that are used throughout the industry that you could possibly look at. I am not endorsing any of these companies for accuracy/usefulness, including CWG, just trying to provide a direction you might be able to look.
Weatherbell
BAM Weather
WSI
Earthsat
NOAA and NWS - I know these are government and not vendors but they have tons of data that could be useful.
Hope this helps
Not sure if Storm Vista has any tutorials but it is an outstanding company/product and if you emailed supporting asking basic technical questions they would 100% answer whatever.
Maxar/Stormvista/AG2 would all probably be willing to send some docus to anyone to asks them academically. All run by weather phd dudes who take academics above all.
yep academics who love explaining weather
we all read the same FT article on Citadel meteorologists didn't we?
Have worked with a few of these guys. Arguably the most important guys on a floor with meteorology degrees and PhDs. You can look at the same exact information as they do but still need them to translate the info
