Growth Equity shops that give the most deal exposure to juniors
I'm interested to know which GE firms give you the most deal exposure at the Analyst/Associate level? Want ample experience with modeling, due diligence, deal structuring, investment memos, etc. I'm sure there will be a good chunk of sourcing at any growth-focused firm, but want to steer away from cold-calling machines. My guess is I should target megafund growth divisions?
GE is generally sourcing at the analyst level. As you source an investment and move up in the process, you get involved with the due diligence, modeling, etc. At some firms, you can even get board seats depending on how involved you were with that deal.
Is the case of being able to work through the deal process true across the industry? Have heard that sometimes you just pass up the deals that you source to associates at some places? Do you know which firms in particular?
I know some (Silversmith, Brighton, Lead Edge etc) if you source the deal you are involved with the process fully (modeling, operational, business dev, etc) and potential for board seats.
