logistically, do you think interviews will be held online for those who are in regional offices like sf?

UMM/MF fairly straight forward, not that many great VC options in NYC. You've got USV which is a shot in the dark and they like more original backgrounds so I would not bank on that. You've got RRE, Lux, FirstMark, Herrer Lippeau. If you're including crossovers in Venture you've got Alkeon in NYC. There's Insight, which is probably the best option you have, but notoriously hard to break into at Associate level. There's Spark, think they're down in Soho but I've heard mixed reviews from founders and investors there. First Round, General Catalyst, Thrive (I think). Then you've got NEA in growth, they love former tech IB folks but they love Vista analysts even more than that. Stripes is good early growth, they're down in West Village or Meatpacking, would be a great place for a career. TCV, but their B2B side is grindy, and their consumer team (good folks) very late stage. General Atlantic is basically growth buyouts, next to nobody I know actually gets staffed on the venture-y things they do. BCV is there and I think their FinTech team sits out of New York, then there's also Greycroft or Greylock (always get them mixed up, one is NYC one is LA I think). IA Ventures either was hiring for the first time in forever or just had turnover so wouldn't count on them having a spot. Bessemmer.

Basically a list of places to start digging. Posting all this because I'd like to see the VC forum take off.

is NYC UMM / MF very doable from these banks? If VC is the focus, should an analyst just focus on SF?
