OFFER PLS HELP - London senior associate VC comp?

I’m a third year IBD associate and I just received an offer at a VC fund in London for a senior associate position.

My current salary is around £150k base and my bonus hit around 140% for 2021 so assuming the same for this year my total comp should be around £350k / $450k if I stay at my bank.

I just received my VC offer contract but to my surprise the section for remuneration was all TBD.

Base salary: TBD

Carried interest: TBD

I’ve been invited to a meeting to negotiate this section and i have 0 clue what to ask for. Especially the carrier interest i really don’t know how this works and what i should be getting. Please can anyone help.

not 80% lol.

It depends on the shop honestly there's such a huuuge range in London.

Like if we are talking a pre seed / seed stage fund - yeah your taking a big hit. Probably looking at 70-90k base and 50% bonus + carry.

But when we start to talk about series A/B funds you can expect more. Senior associate for a really good fund maybe cash comp 200 all in + carry.

GBP.
Friends who work in VC as 1st yr associates in london have comp…

Firm 1: 80 + 33% bonus + 40ish carry per yr

Firm 2: 90 + 25% bonus + 60k carry per yr

Firm 3: 105 + 50% bonus minimal carry
