Series 7 STC Final Exam Q&A Scores Vs. Exam Results

June, 2018

Hi everyone, I joined this site to make this post, as this is what I was looking for and would have liked to see before the Series 7 exam. Hopefully it helps someone who is getting ready to take the exam.

I used STC study materials to study, and did so for a little less than 2 months at home. I did not read the book. I watched ALL of the on-demand lectures, and then did the progress exams immediately after. Once all chapters were done, I did the final exams sequentially. I passed today with a 81%. My firm had the option to either pay me minimum hourly wage to study with them, or pay me a $10K bonus once completing the Series 7 and 66, so that's why I chose to do it on my own time. I was ready in less than 2 months with studying 4-5 hours a day, but my background check took a while to clear while I was waiting to schedule my test (anticipate things like this with large firms). Anyway, here is the important part of the post that I would have liked to see before I took the exam:

STC Q&A Final Exam Results: Exam 1: 63% Exam 2: 64% Exam 3: 64% Exam 4: 68% Exam 5: 62% Exam 6: 70% Exam 7: 60% Exam 8: 65% Exam 9: 66% Exam 10: 68% Exam 11: 66% Exam 12: 65%

STC Closed Book Final Exam Results: (I only did the first 2)
Exam 1: 85% Exam 2: 78%

Greenlight Exam: (I only did the first 1) Greenlight Exam 1: 66%

As I said, I passed the real exam with an 81%. I do have an MBA, so I think I knew a few of the answers from my own studies rather than the STC materials, but I would say there were 5 questions at most that I didn't see in the STC materials. If you are worried or nervous about your exam based on the STC test scores, then hopefully this post will give you a little bit of confidence! I am taking the Series 66 in a few weeks and will post here when I take it to show the results.
