Applying to IB and PWM at same company
Hello, I was wondering if it looks bad or hurts my chances to land an IB job if I also apply to the private wealth management posting at the same company for the summer analyst positions. I do not know for sure what I want to do yet but am leaning towards IB but want a backup in case it doesn't work.
Is that company Citi? If yes, don't apply for multiple positions at that firm. It'll be viewed as negative. Can't speak for any other bulge brackets
I wouldn’t. I remember that at MS one job application resets the other. I think that may be if you’re already beyond step 1 of the process though.
