At what stage does it make sense to start outsourcing advice?

So I'm nowhere near a level of needing professionally managed wealth, but from a curiosity standpoint at what level of wealth/life events does it make sense to start seeking some form of wealth management advice?

I do fairly well, get a decent bonus every year, etc. I sock away most of my bonus into a personally managed brokerage account, put most of it into index funds, play with a little bit of it to make some alpha (lose alpha), etc. But as the savings get higher, the absolute dollar amount gets higher and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong per se, but the anxiety over making a mistake is a little higher as the dollars get bigger. So just curious on when you started to use help vs. purely just managing it yourself?
