BB PWM next year but what do I do now?

First post, so if this is in the wrong place or I've down something else that is laughable please be kind in your critiques.

I'm a rising sophomore at a lower target school with 3.9ish GPA in econ and math. I feel like I have been building my resume pretty well, but I've gotten into a weird situation for internships that has left me with pretty much nothing this year.

Here's the deal:

Due to networking, relations, blah blah blah, I've been secured an internship for NEXT summer at a BB PWM firm. I'll be going in a couple of days this summer to get a feel for what I'd be doing but due to some extraneous circumstances, an internship this summer won't work out (some more details later, but just assume that next summer is a definite go and this summer is not, I'm aware that a year out is hard to see as a 'definite go' but just assume that it is).

The thing is, I'm available for only about two months this summer (one fo the reasons when this summer isn't good for the PWM thing), which also seems too short for some other no name firms I can look for, so right now I'm stuck doing nothing for two months. I've landed some other opportunities that aren't finance related at all but I don't really see them being worth doing since I've already secured a BB PWM internship for next summer.

For reference, I'm ultimately interested in something finance related that is as close to pure analytics as possible. I'm not even sure what it is yet (any advice?). IB and PE of course are appealing and right now I would like to apply my junior year for internships in them. Will it be impossible for be to land a BB IBD or a good PE internship with a sophomore summer BB PWM internship?

thanks for reading.
