Can Anyone Help: Trying to Break into IB from Wealth Management and obtaining MBA?

Hi all,

I am new to WSO and have fallen in love with everyone's sense of help and guidance. I think I am in a difficult and different situation so I figured I would ask your opinions. I am currently in Wealth Management at one of the big four WM firms (ML, WF, MS, UBS) after being here a year I absolutely hate it. I always wanted to be an IB but when I received this offer I was just so happy to have one that I immediately accepted. I have my licenses although I think they will be little help in IB. For the past 6 months I have been applying to every entry level IB job I could, well over 100 jobs, with no results at all. So I decided to rewrite the script and apply to get my MBA I killed my standardized test and got into a target school. Specifically I got into an accelerated program 14 months longs with no breaks but a winter internship period. This is where I think it gets tricky. Being that I do not have the summer to do an internship how should I go about apply for a FT position? I would appreciate any insight. Thank You all in advance!

Also happy to answer any questions about being an FA or wealth management in general anyone may have!

Yours Truly, a young chimp
