I've attended a handful of their events. They specialize in ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Programs) and valuations. They do provide M&A services under their Corporate Finance arm, which they happen to be trying to aggressively expand at the moment. As far as reputation - I know a couple of guys that have worked there and then used that experience to lateral to some of the MM firms in my region. Definitely a great culture and provide their juniors solid technical understanding/skills to use either there or the next stop in their career.
All that being said, this is definitely a boutique shop that is trying to establish itself, works on smaller deals, and I've heard that comp is a bit less than street (~65k). I would reach out to their lead HR person - she is very kind and accommodating. Hope this helps.
assuming the lower comp comes with better hours?
50-60 is expected with some outlying weeks in either direction. Heads up, for this summers incoming FT class, the MN office (by far the largest) took away their offers from almost all incoming analysts. This summer's intern class were extended auto FT offers FWIW.
