General Skills for Incoming Prospective Private Banking Analyst

For PWM on both the client and/or investment management side, what are some technical and soft skills that would give a prospective analyst a good jump to becoming productive once they hit the desk? I have a general understanding that it isn't strenuous as IB but still demands having a dynamic set of skills. I would gladly like to hear about your early experiences as well. Thanks!
