Could you do the IEX internship, make enough to live in NYC and aggressively reach out to alumni at your school in IB while in the city and meet them for coffee?
there are so many ib internships out there buddy. apply to every boutique and offer to work for freeeeeeeeeee!!! those who aren't expecting to hire interns can be easily persuaded by enthusiasm
There is not a chance in christ that I can afford to work for free. But as for reaching out to boutiques, do you suggest just cutting the shit and emailing an MD as opposed to emailing my resume to the anonymous "careers@RandomCapitalGroupdotcom" link they all have on their about me page
