Potential Financial Advisor Position

Hello. I am a recent college graduate as of spring 2020. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology and German Studies with a 3.8 GPA. I am interested in pursuing a career in finance due to a multitude of reasons, but some of the most significant factors for me is that a career in finance is intellectually stimulating and allows for growth in a diverse setting. My current field of study does not offer the same job security and dynamic career options as the finance industry. This change to the financial industry would allow me to commit to a career that better suits my intellectual and long-term career goals. I am trying to learn everything that I can.

I have already applied to a job as a financial advisor, explained my reasoning, and my goals. I received another email that asked me to attend a webinar and schedule a job interview next week. I am not sure how to prepare for the interview, as I am not completely familiar with the field. The description says that if I get the job, that they will train me, but I want to be a candidate that stands out compared to the others, especially given my academic background.

Any tips or useful information, practice interview questions, good questions to ask my interviewer, would all be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
