Which would you recommend someone do: a PWM internship that's relativly close to their house, but is not in a major city or a PWM internship in a major city (think Houston, LA, Chicago) that's about a 45 minute commute each way. Also, what jobs should I try to be getting in the PWM if I eventually want to get into trading?

why would you inconvenience yourself if it is the exact same job? unless the "major city" houses one of their headquarters where you could potentially network with others in the office the name of the city you work in will NOT make or break a candidate...
