PWM Summer Analyst?

Is it okay to call yourself a Private Wealth Management Summer Analyst if you interned at a PWM firm?

It seems most people who work in PWM refer to themselves as advisors, not analysts. Thoughts?

No, thats pretty much lying. If you are interning at a PWM firm you are a Private Wealth Management Intern. Chances are you are doing administrative work, filing, cold calling, and sitting in a few client meetings. Summer Analysts are part of BB firm pipeline and placement programs, its completely different than say you working part time at a PWM branch of a BB firm where you shadow/work under a Financial Advisor/Planner.

the firm will give you a title, use that, and nothing else. why are you in PWM when you think it's so looked down upon? (http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/why-is-pwm-looked-down-on)

and stop trolling, you said you interned with Madoff, yet you're currently a college freshman (edit: Madoff pleaded guilty in 2009, and if you're a freshman now/rising sophomore, you graduated high school in 2013, so unless you were his only 14 year old intern, I call bullshit), you wonder if you should put rubiks cube, juggling, and modeling on your resume, you got a 1620 SAT, and you've posted 3 threads about Allen Edmonds or pinstripes.

enough already

click name, track, done. someone could certainly dig up dirt on me if they really wanted to, but my point is this guy is inconsistent with his stories. we're all happy to help (my career is built on helping people) on this forum, but when people come in and tarnish the legitimacy of this forum with insincere cries for help, it makes the helpful ones of us more skeptical to write a post for a young person. hence my comment.

edit: been extra stressed at work lately too, which has taken away from my normally positive demeanor, sorry guys.

I am not a troll, and I can explain. I am not in PWM, I am doing an internship in a small IB boutique. I asked about PWM because I got an offer from a BB PWM local branch and, being a freshman, wanted to learn as much as I could about it. After I learned more about each field, I eventually decided to accept the IB boutique offer over PWM.

I never stated that I interned with Madoff, I simply asked that if someone had interned with him, if it would be a good idea for that person to include it in their resume because I was curious of people's opinion on that possibility. I did graduate in 2013 and am thus a rising sophomore, as you said.

The resume questions on the rubiks cube, juggling, and modeling are all legitimate questions and I do perform all these activities. The same goes for Allen Edmonds and suit questions.

I don't see how my low SAT score (taken in junior year of high school) has anything to do with my credibility.

My intention has never been to troll, lie, or tarnish the legitimacy of this forum. I do apologize, however, if you or any others on this forum have thought otherwise and I can assure you that ignorant questions about resumes and suits from my part will steadily decrease as I become ever more enlightened by the wisdom bestowed upon me by this forum, for which I am eternally grateful.

It is a small and local IB boutique and I had a bit of luck but thank you nonetheless @"bloombergcentral", I appreciate your kind words.
