If you are not currently in private equity or investment banking, yes, this job will bring you a lot closer to having the resume needed for buy-side high-finance jobs. Lazard financial advisory is an umbrella for multiple lines of business, which are all investment banking/capital markets. You will have a securities registration, if that helps define the job.
