Need a lot more info and more specifics on your work experience and background.

1) Since UBS has both, are you on a true PWM Team or in WM? 2) Are you in a major market or a small city?
3) What role(s) what you had (FA, WSA, CSA)?
4) When you say you're interested in moving into an "analyst type role" what specifically are you focusing on (AM, IBD, ER)?

More info will definitely help, but regardless of your answers to these questions it will be very difficult to move directly from PWM to IBD, AM, ER especially after 3 years of FT WE. I think looking for analyst/research/institutional sales/etc. roles at mutual fund companies is a good way to go because PWM and MFs go hand in hand, you make a million contacts at mutual fund companies being in PWM, and there are so many opportunities to network and get your resume out there because there are so many mutual funds.
