Hey,
Well, honestly it depends on your mentor/manager.
During my internship, I did more towards the marketing materials (update term sheets, product sheets).. and had to work closely with the relationship mgrs as well... but of course i had to be on my toes all the time, as changes in IR, FX etc will affect the structured products.. some have the "knock down" or "accumulated" effect.. fundamental knowledge of all products are important.. (they use lots of abbreviations, and i almost screwed up my mentor but i was lucky enough that she was alerted to it..)
things that you need to know will be macro stuffs, some of the funky formulas (esp black scholes) and of course some selling knowledge..
Thank you isic. I am a finance major but i guess I am concerned about math part of the job. Other than formulas how much math/stats do you need to know for the interview? Are they going to ask you throwing dice kinda questions?
