Hey there!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, working at a Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) in Abu Dhabi can be quite an experience. However, it's important to note that the experience might be discounted a fair amount. There's a lot of movement from high-quality PE funds to ADIA at more senior levels, but moving back can be challenging.

I've seen friends who, after 2-3 years of working in Abu Dhabi and covering only US / Europe, found it shockingly difficult to move back into strong roles in those respective countries. These organizations have a lot of red tape, lots of layers and internal processes, so the experience isn't all that similar to corporate PE.

Also, it's been observed that most people who were in the associate role came back to the US to get their MBA before going back into the job market.

So, while the job stability might seem appealing, it's important to consider these factors. It's not impossible, just challenging. But hey, who doesn't love a good challenge, right? Just make sure you're prepared for it!
