2-Yr Programs
Know there are a ton of PE shops that fall into this category, but are there HFs that hire associates for two year programs?

Certain of the large funds certainly do. Not as obviously enforced but friends at Maverick, Davidson Kempner, Oaktree are in programs structured as such.
Would echo the point about the larger funds doing this, and also add Coatue to the list
That’s helpful, thanks. Are people leaving these programs to go to business school after 2 years or do most go on to other funds?
Bschool is not needed nor highly valued in HF. So unless someone is looking to change direction, I feel that most try to move to another HF. I have interviewed quite a few of these candidates from these two-year programs at my fund.
Makes sense. What is the benefit of the programs? Seems odd that they would want to push people out the door after 2 years. Are they hoping for their long-term hires to come in with previous buyside experience?
