3rd Round Interview ...

So I passed the first two interviews (both by phone) and am heading into the office for an in-person interview on Friday, what I assume will be the final interview - "getting to know the associates." Place is a small to mid sized, sourcing-focused growth equity firm.

Although I studied a lot for the phone interviews (specific industry trends, financial analysis, key metrics by industry and subindustry, etc), no technical questions were asked and I didn't have to use anything I had studied for. Questions were basic and personal, no thinking on my feet was really required.

I'm wondering if they saved all the hard technical questions for this final interview, or if the interview will be more of the same just face to face. I dunno, maybe growth equity firms don't seek a ton of financial or quantitative fluency in their undergraduate interns?

Thanks for your help!!

General run of the thumb for interviews - prepare for the worst (a grilling), hope for the best. What year are you in? If you are a senior UG and there is a mutual hope that this will become a full time job, I would bet on their being a major technical component. If you are younger, they will probably take it easy and just want someone to help with the more menial tasks around the office, and as such I would wager this will be a simple test if they like you or not
