Do I stand a chance to getting a Trading Internship at Prop Shop or Hedgefund?
I'm a rising junior (going to third year), I'm currently at the University of Toronto, I'm doing a bachelors in Mathematics and Statistics (3.35 GPA) , I also became a mathematics teaching assistant in 2nd year. I was one of three individuals at my whole campus chosen to become a math TA in my second year. I'm also currently interning at a big 4 financial firm as a quantitative analyst intern and financial advisory consultant intern. Also, have worked with multiple professor's and PhD's to work on a data science project using python. I really want to work in a hedgefund or trading firm, but honestly speaking my skills in programming are subpar, I don't know much programming or any data structures and algorithms. That's my background and now I just want to know, what are my chances? How can I be more competitive? Should I just focus my time on skills in python and learning DSA? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
