At my bank, it's the same compensation package as normal MBA Associate hires. I.e. $150K base, unsure of the exact signing bonus but I think $30-40K ish?
$40k promo bonus with $150k base is BofA I believe
thanks for letting me know- that's a p insane sign on lol
I'm not at BofA, so it's at least one other. May be closer to $30K at mine though, can't recall.
People do realize that if you are an A2A, the "signing bonus" you receive is then deducted from your year end bonus right? In other words, you aren't getting more money, it's just that you get a portion of your money paid earlier.
I heard Barclays did away with their A2A bonus - anyone confirm?
False, it still exists. Someone from my former analyst class is doing the transition now.
Interesting to see that the base is higher than Aso 1 at most MM PE firms
Just went through the PE process; this base is not only higher than MM funds but also most MF/ UMM funds- check out the H1-B salary database
How is it that banks are paying more than associates at PE funds? Are PE associates salary 300k+ at least then? I make all in $250k all in target
Interesting; I have heard top bucket can make up to 325k as As1- how true is this?
Nope I think most PE Associates in MM PE probably make around ~250K all in. UMM / MF could easily be more though.
30-50k A2A sign-on depending on bank (most are 40) + A0 base was recently raised to $150k (A1 still $150k).
Barring Apollo and some other notable names, A2A ASO1 compensation is higher than most UM / MF compensation.
do A2As have lower sign on bonuses than MBAs?
at my EB (Mo/Yr for reference):
Jul-20 | AO Promo: Signing ~$65K Jul-20 - Dec-20 | AO Stub: Base $75K ($150K annualized) Feb-21 | AO Stub Bonus: ~$50K Jan-21 - Dec-21 | AO1: Base $150K Feb-22 | AO1: Bonus ~$175K
1.5 Year total = $515K
Sand bagged a few of these to reflect more of a 'average' or slightly above average. Top bucket will be higher
175K as an average Associate 1 bonus? Sheesh...I should've lateraled.
Jesus is this CVP lol
CVP is 100k A2A sign into bonus with 2 year full clawback and then full year end bonus paid in Jan of the next year, no stub
Good God Almighty....
Does the 150K Base apply to MM Banks like Stifel/Piper/HW?
$125K base for the Analyst 3 / Associate 0 year, then $150K base for the "real" associate promotion or post-MBA associates
So from when you finish your 2nd year in July to December in which you finish your as0 period it’s 125 base for the whole time. Aka 1.5 years? Or do you get bumped up to for the last 6 months when you’re an as0
Any one know the standard clawback terms on the promote bonuses? Assume it’s about 1 year given the clawback term at my bank (BB) for analyst signing bonuses, but curious if it differs / if I’m misled here.
