I am doing an AC with Citibank in London in a couple of weeks and wonder how I can prepare for the casestudy? My friend told me it is very difficult to prepare for the case as it can tackle every aspect of investment banking but I can still immagine that there are some recurring topics.

On a more serious note, there are some online case studies (i.e., google "McKinsey case studies") and you will find some cases. In my experience they are different than what you can expect in IB interviews, but it provides you with a very solid background of how to tackle such cases.
General tip, be very sharp and on top of things during your interview. Feeling well, rested and happy helps a lot in thinking clearly and consequently acing the cases.
