Acquisitions Analyst - Residential Real Estate Acquisitions

Hello,
I have a first round interview coming up with an asset management firm focused on single-family residential investments. The position title is Acquisitions Analyst. Was wondering if anyone could help with some questions I should expect and how to better prepare. Below is the job description.

Job Summary
Primary Purpose / Objective:
The Junior Acquisitions Analyst will work hand in hand with senior Acquisitions staff and Asset Management by providing identification of potential assets, negotiating sales leads, completing financial underwriting for potential new residential real estate acquisitions, and providing data analysis and reporting. This is a hybrid role with a wide range of responsibilities and skill sets needed. The Junior Acquisitions Analyst will need to be highly organized, analytic and efficient.
This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in a high paced environment that provides exposure to the entire acquisitions process of multiple single-family portfolios.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
¥ Perform market analysis of key micro markets within Atlanta
¥ Identify potential assets for acquisition
¥ Help determine potential rent rates and initial construction estimates of potential acquisitions
¥ Use custom software and resources to research, identify and complete desktop underwriting
¥ Direct contract negotiation and due diligence coordination
¥ Various other acquisitions and portfolio-related tasks, as directed by Management
¥ Ability to update regular market analytics based on MLS data (Micro market trends in rent, flipping activity, exit prices, tax rates, DOM, etc.)
¥ Ability to hold confidential all information that is proprietary to the management of our company, our subsidiaries, affiliates and investors
¥ Other duties may be assigned as our volume goals grow

Qualifications:
¥ Georgia Real Estate License: Many of the interactions with other brokers require a real estate license. We will consider candidates currently studying for the test, but they must pass within a month of being hired.
¥ Previous experience in real estate is a big plus, but not required
¥ Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required
¥ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Real Estate is required
¥ Must have strong analytical, quantitative, and market research skills.
¥ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
¥ Must have strategic thought process with great attention to detail
¥ Self-motivated, team oriented, and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines and multi-tasking
