Advice on junior fall internship

hi monkeys, rising junior here. I have signed with a second tier BB for 19 SA and am thinking about doing a fall internship to kill time. I have two potential options. One is an economies research intern at a reputable think tank, the other is at a mm pe firm.

I will recruit again for FT because I didn't get the chance to even try some firms that I really like during this recruiting cycle. So my question is, will the pe intern benefit me more for FT recruiting, or it doesn't really matter? I have no problem doing either of them, but I think it would be cool to try something other than banking.

any input is appreciated.

Yeah, I'd do the PE internship if you can keep a good GPA (ie. 4.0 senior year).
