Age and Job Hierarchy in London buyside

Will soon join a credit AM in London as an analyst 2 at 25 years old. I know some people my age in London are already associates, so is the London job hierarchy similar to the US? Appreciate different firms have different titles but so that I understand, does it go Analyst 1/2/3 to Associate 1/2/3 then VP, ED and MD? slightly concerned I am a bit behind schedule, as everything going well I will make Associate after just turning 27. Moved into AM after 1 year of corporate banking (which was not much use) just for context, which puts me at 18 months of buyside experience.
