Apply for US summer internships as a European student?

Hello everyone,

I am a French student graduating in 2023 and I was wondering if it would be possible to apply for summer internships in the US for 2022 (I saw that several banks and shops had already opened their applications for this region).

I plan to apply for summer internships in London but recruitment only starts in August/September 2021. I just wanted to know if it would be worth applying for summer internships in the US before then as well? Do I have any chance compared to US students?

My background only consists of several sales internships and a 4 month internship in a Big Four (Audit).

I'm at a semi-target university in the top 1%, majoring in Finance.

Thank you in advance.

0% chance of it working because of visa issues. If you want to break into the US as a non-citizen, your best bet is to study at a US school (gives you the OPT work visa)

I'm in a similar situation to OP... is it only ~0% chance because of VISA issues? or because hardly anyone tries (read: hustles) hard enough through networking.

This is given good grades/ec/internships
