Baby Boomers

Am I the only one coming to the realization that the baby boomers are the source of every problem on earth?

They are a bunch of entitled socialist hippies who ruined almost every nation on earth, on top of destroying almost every economy.

If that was not bad enough, you now have articles like this one, claiming that boomers refuse to give up their jobs:

''For boomers, it's a new era of 'work til you drop'''.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/boomers-era-til-drop-212727253.html

Knowing that the medical advancements will allow them to live longer, they'll be around us for encore a long time.

How can we get rid of them?

Yes, you are one of the few intelligent people who realize that.

The greatest media fiction of modern times is labeling Generation Y the entitlement generation.

Entitled? To what? All I see that we are going to get is a gutted / outsourced economy and a sinkhole of debt. The Baby Boomers are the entitled ones -- we should rename it The Locust Generation. All they do is consume and outspend their ability to ever pay back into the system. Gonna milk the system for all its worth, die and leave the rest of us to clean up their mess.

Yeah, it's amazing how thoroughly they fucked up. I mean, post-WWII, all they really needed to do was maintain the status quo, but nope: They found every feasible way to screw our generation over. Now, after slashing taxes since the 1980's, they're borrowing (i.e., sending us the bill) for their ridiculous wars, and out-of-control retirement benefits.

Now, want to bet that taxes are going to be raised when they realize they're running out of money to keep themselves alive?

Couple this with the fact that the Baby Boomlet -- the biggest generation since the Baby Boomers themselves -- is graduating into the worst economy since the Great Depression, and therefore gaining nothing in the way of skills or generating anything in the way of income -- and I'm not looking forward to seeing the end of this particular story.

Well... At least there's a possibility of an anti-elderly super virus.

I have some friends who have been working for the governement for some years now and they are stuck in the same position because the individuals above them are usually baby boomers who refuse to retire.

I can only imagine their frustration.

Same. They also said that for every 3 that retire, only 1 gets hired, because the 3 geezers were that inefficient/technologically-inept.

Back in the days, when people couldn't break into the private sector, they had governement jobs as a backup plan.

Those were the days. Since then, the baby boombers annihilated both the private sector and the public sector.

We are so f*ucked.

this is the exact reason I am leaving the Govt agency I'm at right now, I can't stand the disgusting sense of entitlement these boomers have around here... on the internal emails they congratulate themselves for promoting 13% of the staff internally... who are the people filling majority of the good roles (not some crappy facilities or receptionist job)? old-ass boomer consultants... guh... hence why im going back to school fulltime and getting into consulting... I need to be in a meritocracy... not some shitball govt agency that promotes based on seniority

Get it!

adapt or die:
I am the biggest baby boomer hater in history. I've had so many conversations about all the problems they've caused my generation.

Not only did I had many conversations, but I also wrote articles about them being the big time losers that they are in the student journal of one of Canada's top business school. And I made sure the whole journal edition was about them (including the edition title).

I did not made friends with that one, let me tell you.

When I was in Cuba a few weeks ago, I met with a few of them (from Quebec). They were retired (around 55 years old), former governement employees and all millionaires.

Not bad for ex-public servants. The servants made more money (alot more) than their ''master'' (the public).

whatwhatwhat:
and our generation does such a great job of going out to vote that this problem will surely be solved soon, am i rite

Most of Ron Paul supporters are college kids.
