Background check Citi

Anybody here has an idea what the background check entails and how long does it take. I have heard they make you take a drug test before you start but the background check take 2 months while you work there ? any info will be appreciated.

Here's what they verify: Education (make sure you got the degree you say you did, when you did) Employment (make sure you worked where you did, when you did, and made what you say you did) Public Records (criminal records, civil rulings against you, liens, etc) Credit record (make sure there are no red flags) You'll also have to take a drug test, probably just tests for thc, opiates, cocaine, mdma, the generic stuff Not sure about timing for the drug test.

So if you take a drug test in MI with a medical marijuana card but the firm you're applying for is based in a state that doesn't have this type of card, will you fail? Would you just tell the people that are testing you that you have the card (and prove it obviously) and they wouldn't be able to tell the potential employer?

If your dreams don't scare you, then they are not big enough. "There are two types of people in this world: People who say they pee in the shower, and dirty fucking liars."-Louis C.K.

Yes, you will fail. However, if you have a prescription for marijuana I'm pretty sure they can't legally fire. Unless you're in a workers right state or wtf its called

This case has been working its way up through the legal system. The guy in Battle Creek just lost his law suit with Wal Mart. He's going to appeal but it doesn't look good for medical marijuana card holders.

Seems pretty simple I heard tht it takes 2 months and they make you do a FBI fingerprint check I guess its for some very specfic dept. I changed jobs recently and they told me I was clean so dont think I have an issue. As for salary how can they find out I thought that was confidential.

What if I worked at my uncles small accounting firm and I was paid under the table. And he did not register me as an employee so I would not show up on the background check. Would I be fired after the background check?

With all the shit that goes on in Wall St these days, they shouldn't care if you were paid under the table. But of course, they might.
