BCG / Bain 1st round turnaround time
How long does BCG / Bain take to turnaround 1st round decisions? If you don't hear back the next day (i.e. interview Thursday -> hear back Friday) is it safe to assume rejection?
Consulting Interview Turnaround Times
The consulting industry is known for providing fairly quick follow-up after interviews if you are moving on to the next round or if you have received the position. Response times can vary by firm, city and yes, how well you did in the interview. Here is some advice from WSO users based on their personal experience:
- Give it 3 to 4 days before assuming the worst
- It may take longer to hear back from earlier round interviews vs. final rounds
- Read about others’ interview experiences in the WSO company database
- After you interview, try to let it go and keep preparing for other opportunities
- Remember, you stressing out about the outcome won’t influence their decision
- You’re not alone in worrying about how long it’s taking the consulting firms to get back to you (see recommended reading)

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. Generally, I've interviewed on Fridays and heard back the following Tuesday/Wednesday, so I wouldn't be too worried yet.

I know McKinsey took 3 days to let me know about second rounds (for summer BA)...although for final rounds they told candidates whether or not they got the offer the day of. So I wouldn't worry yet.
Yea, definitely not the next day. Give it 3-4 business days, and then email. Usually they let u know in that much time though. Same for the final round.
