Best SF Neighborhoods near FiDi

Couldn't find an updated thread on this so wanted to make one. I'm an incoming analyst at a BB with an office in FiDi SF looking to move in this August.

What are the best neighborhoods to live in that are a reasonable commute to FiDi or where analysts typically live?

Considering the concentration of young people / nightlife, distance from the office, price/value.

I've heard that North Beach and Russian Hill are good. Any others?

Any insight on Nob Hill, Telegraph Hill, Pacific Heights?

North Beach, Russian Hill, Nob Hill, and Telegraph Hill are all great for young people. Pac Heights is kinda deep if you are working in the FiDi and is pretty stuffy imo.

Nob Hill and Russian Hill are my favorites. They are close to Polk Street, which is where most of my favorite restaurants and bars are, and they aren't too far from the FiDi.

Rincon Hill - lots of nice high-rises with great amenities which are now somewhat reasonably-priced due to covid. Also 10-15 min walk to the office max.

Also keep in mind this is a flat walk - if you live in Russian Hill get ready to burn out your quads walking back from the office lol. Not really a factor in most cities, but can't be ignored in SF. Also some areas of Nob Hill will required you to walk through some sketchy streets to get to the office - had a friend who was in the hospital for 3 days after getting mugged on his walk home to Nob Hill.

What about South Beach? Heard it is close to Fidi and recently developed

I'm in the same boat, and I'm looking for places in Rincon Hill so I can walk to work. I doubt we will have much time for nightlife and stuff like that, and I'd rather live closer to the office than to bars since I won't be going to bars 6 days a week, but I will be going to work -7 days a week.
