Bombed Assessment / Aptitude Test - Any chance to save myself?
Just took a 3 - 4 hr aptitude test for the 2nd round of an equity research associate position. I am really passionate about the position and firm. The first round interview went great, and (personal opinion of the actual test aside) I don't see anyway a firm who utilizes the assessment test would hire me because I bombed it.
The test was verbal , numeric, and logical testing along with personality and sales force quiz. And although I may be biased as I did poorly, I don't understand how anything of that test was applicable to ER. None the less if there anything I can do to save face potentially ? I was thinking of sending a sample piece of research in a "hail mary" to the head analyst but don't want to go around HR's back either...
