Boutique IB Summer Analyst to BB Full-Time?

Hi, this is my first post here:

I'm a junior studying Economics at a non-target school. Over the past summer, I was able to intern as a PE research analyst at an asset management firm ($40B+ AUM). I used that experience to land my next summer analyst internship at a regional boutique bank that typically does $30-60M deals and occasionally closes $120M+ deals. I am wondering if you all could give me advice on which path will most likely get me to a bulge bracket over the next 2-3 years:

  1. Stay at the boutique bank and aim for a FT offer. Work there for 1-2 years and then try for a BB?
  2. Recruit now and aim for a FT BB for next summer?
  3. Stay a 5th year and aim for a SA BB for next summer?

Thanks y'all,

Baby Chimp
