Brokerage to Acquisitions Switch

Currently working at a mid-sized brokerage (not like CBRE or JLL or any of those public companies, but still reputable shop in NYC). I've been doing it for about 2.5 years while getting my bachelor's in real estate investment and I'm graduating this spring. I have one $28.5m deal under my belt and just got an offer from a family office backed by HNW individual money looking to invest in real estate to be an acquisitions associate. They've bought 1-2 deals a year but are looking to ramp that up. I'd mainly be working as an intern who would get a commission for any deal closed until I graduate, which then if all things go well during this trial period, I should have a job lined up after I graduate.

Anyone been down a similar path or have any advice to offer about whether I should make the transition? I think it would be good even if I don't close anything just for resume experience but would like to hear everyone's thoughts.
