Business Dev / Marketing background / 31 yrs : would CFA help Break into Finance???

Hello all! thank you in advance for your answers!

Realized, maybe late, that finance is my area of preference in the long term. After working in marketing/Biz dev -and a master marketing- saw it was not for me.

PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVES:  1) break into finance and 2) eventually work as a finance manager in a company (not hedge fond nor wall-street type)

STRATEGY: Improve my profile with a Finance Certification, among other things such as to look for finance-related jobs, etc

AGE:31 years old

EDUCATION: Bachelor Business Management, Master in Marketing.

WORK EXPERIENCE with EDUCATION TIME LINE: PwC Tax one year while bachelor, BACHELOR BUSINESS, British American Tobacco Acccounting 1 year, 3 entreprenurial projects (1 year or less each in part or mostly due to country hiperinflation - socialist government - economic/humanitarian crisis) then emigration to Europe, MASTER MARKETING(Europe), position in Marketing Agency while studying master(Europe), Accounting AP(Current employment to switch into finance - Europe)

General PROFILE: Business Development / Marketing

QUESTIONS

-Would the CFA give me an edge and make me more competitive to reach my professional objectives, taking into account my education, professional background and also work-competition by candidates with 100% finance background/TOP international universities/good work experience?

-Are there other certificates, from your perspective, better suited than CFA to reach my objetives based on my education and work experience?

----Any other advice or comments, critical, negative, helpful, encouraging, are welcome, honesty is appreciated----.
