Can I apply to IB in both New York and London from the UK?

Is it possible to apply to both NYC and London having lived and been educated in the UK? My ultimate goal is to live and work in the US. Has anyone done it? Will a BB sponsor me through green card process etc if I secure an offer? What are my chances? How hard is it to transfer from London to NYC?

As was said before me, I would land a BB offer in London and then rotate to the US after a couple years. Many people at my BB do this to come to the US or even the other way around. Some of them do have to change teams though and will interview for placement with various teams that have open spots

Is it possible to apply to both NYC and London having lived and been educated in the UK? You can technically apply (i.e. submit your application on the website), but they will not interview you.

My ultimate goal is to live and work in the US. Has anyone done it? I am sure a lot of people applied, hoping it would have worked but it does not work

Will a BB sponsor me through green card process etc if I secure an offer? No, they simply don't interview you and they do not sponsor green cards at entry level. They do move people around with L-1 visas for which you need to work for them abroad for at least a year. A L-1 visa last for 6 years (I think), after which they will sponsor you for the green card (if you are still there)

What are my chances? 0

How hard is it to transfer from London to NYC? Quite easy if you are a top performer. I did it from a regional office and know a lot of people who did it from London. Generally you do it after 1.5-2 years. Downside is that you cannot recruit for PE in the US as you will be there with a L-1 visa which is sponsored by the bank. If you resign, you lose the L-1 visa and PE do not sponsors visa for entry level positions
