Can you get blacklisted during recruiting for this?

Incoming Cornell Dyson freshman here. Some "Tik Tok star" who's a classmate of mine did some dumb shit (check out the Washington Post article about her and search her name up on Reddit since I can't post links yet i guess). She partied and broke social distancing/mask rules and said on Snapchat that “the people who slide up saying ‘you’re not social distancing’ are the ones that wouldn’t have been invited anyway.” Now there is a petition going around calling for her to be expelled too if you search that up.

Say she chooses to recruit for IB/consulting or anything. Would this controversy generated, with a Washington Post article and all, be enough to get her blacklisted everywhere she chooses to recruit at through background checks and all?

Yeah she's probably screwed. This is exactly why cancel culture is dangerous. People are doing stupid stuff as a kid that they regret later on when they're serious about a career. At least in this case this is a college freshman who should be mature enough. Either way, look up the harvard deloitte BLM girl lol

haha no I'm just angered by this selfish twit going to school with me and wanted to share since it gained national coverage... wanted to know if I had one less potential contender

Better to just not post controversial/edgy shit on social media when it’s tied to your real identity, especially when it’s related to a sensitive topic

Yeah but the moment someone searches her name up along with "Cornell" they're going to put two and two together. I think it's a matter of whether firms will run a search that will turn up info like that, and whether it will matter in 2-3 years even with all the negative press.

I don't understand why kids post videos of themselves at parties right now. You are literally asking to get tossed off of campus. If ur gonna party don't fucking post a video
